Jose Vanegas

My photography is defined by the use of emotional light, intense contrasts, carefully crafted compositions, and a clear aesthetic intention. I seek fidelity to each scene through authentic photography with a unique character.

My passion for photography stems in 2017 from a desire to observe the world closely and discover beauty, memory, and emotion in places that often go unnoticed. Over the years, I have complemented this perspective with photography courses in Latin America and Germany, developing a distinctive visual language in which nature, architecture, and the traces of time play a central role.

Marazul Gallery was born from the desire to enjoy and experience life through art. Within each of my photographs converge countless stories waiting to be read through a single image.

I began my journey in photography in 2020. My work focuses on the beauty and fragility of the natural world. This artistic vision has been deeply shaped by my professional experience as an environmentalist, where my connection with landscapes, ecosystems, and their vulnerability has influenced the way I see and photograph nature. Photography gradually became my way of observing the world more closely and translating its subtle beauty into images.
